DATA COLLECTION USING MICROSOURCE GENERATOR

Use of this novel source of X Rays for crystallographic data collection enables the size and divergence of the X-ray beam to be altered readily to match the different requirements of successive samples.
For crystals of sizes 300micron or less, needing a small well collimated beam with low divergence, the output from this X ray tube running at 25watts (i.e. 50kV and 0.5mA) the flux is similar to that available from the much lerger rotating anode generators
Examples will be presented of data collected.
